Made of cast steel for strenght from the original Ford drawings. They are riveted to the brake cams with lever pins Part# 2563 and to the with emergency brake rods with clevis pins (Part# 2564).

When the emergency brake handle is pulled by the driver it pulls the emergency brake rods forward. Those rods then pull these hub brake cam levers forward which causes the hub brake cams (Part# 2557 and 2558) to turn, thus engaging the emergency brake shoes and stopping the car.

Questions and Answers

How does one remove the brake cam lever from the brake cam? How do you get the pins out?
