These washers prevent the bolts from digging into the aluminum head.

What order and torque do you tighten head bolts?
 

You tighten these head bolts starting from the center  bolt alternating sides until you reach the ends. The torque depends on what type of head you have.

  • Original Steel Head - 50-55 lbs.

  • Aluminum Reproduction Head 45 lbs.
