Universal Joint Housing Assembly for Two-Piece Drive Shaft
This three piece set allows you to convert a later style (1914-1919) drive shaft into the rare two-peice drive shaft that was used on 1909-1913 Model T's. It is an excellent show quality reproduction.
Includes the following three pieces:
- 2577 - Universal joint housing (Ball End) for two-piece drive shaft housing.
- 2582FC - End to Convert later Drive shaft to 2-piece style. This part rivets to the end of a 1914-1919 style drive shaft tube to make the tube a correct 2-piece drive shaft for 1909-1913 Model T's. The rivets that hold the ball onto later driveshaft tube need to be drilled out. This is then riveted in its place.
- 2576 - Coupling Ring for Drive Shaft Ball to Transmission, Early style coupling ring for the two piece style driveshaft with the correct raised embossing for the grease cup to thread into. This holds the ball of the driveshaft housing to the back of the transmission.
- 2577MB - Mounting bolt set. Mounts U-Joint housing to drive shaft tube.
NOTE: This requires the front casting u-joint housing from a later one piece drive shaft housing as a core.
REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE: A U-joint housing (front casting) from a later one piece drive shaft for an EXCHANGE CORE REQUIRED or this REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE WILL BE ADDED TO THE COST OF THIS PART. We will pay $10.00 for extra rebuildable housings.Core Charge: $30.00 each
