BODY-DH - DEPOT HACK BODY. Made of Red Oak with Mahogany or red oak panels.

This is a reproduction of an original York Depot Hack Body that was built during the Model T ear and can be used on any 1909-1925 car chassis. This is the same body that the supplier made for the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in the Spring of 2004.
It was most often used as an early form of a taxi, for carrying passengers and luggage from the railroad DEPOT. HACK is derived from the word hackney, which is another word for a taxi. Later also referred to as a station wagon.
Comes with colonial grain leatherette upholstered front and back seat over foam padding, seats have authentic style hinges backrests. Top, covered with cobra grain leatherette. Door hinges and latches, tail gate hardware, post to top bracing, One piece windshield and firewall. The top of the windshield is hinged and the bottom is fixed in place. Body does NOT come with glass. Wood is unfinished.
Seats 4 adults, 6 with optional jump seats.
Approx. size 112” long, 48” wide x 58” high.
