Additional Information

NOTE: All our authentic reproductions of brass and black radiators are show quality. They are available with either round or flat tube cores. Both styles look the same except for the core. The original style round tube core radiators are duplicates of the original ones used on Model T Fords and are recommended for show cars and owners who want everything “correct” on their car. The modern style flat core radiators offer more efficient cooling and are recommended for cars on hot days, on long tours, used in parades or on speedsters. Both styles are made in USA.

This modern style radiator core has Elongated "FLAT TUBES" for more efficient heat transfer. It has six fins of tellurium copper per vertical inch in a staggered tube array to maximize the disruption of air flow and cooling.

Features of the early 1909-1910 radiator include:

  • Three piece polished brass tank construction

  • One piece drawn brass bottom tank with relief for crank

  • Detroit, Michigan” identification embossing on the back tank

  • "Made in Canada" Ontario plate available upon request

  • Internal brass baffle plate to prevent loss of coolant

  • Officially licensed early Ford "winged" script stamped in the top tank

  • No extruded holes in the sidewalls for gas line

  • 1-13/16" spun brass fill neck without rivets as original

  • Brass tube for carbide gas powered lights is soldered to the lower tank

  • Rust proof red brass casting bottom outlets and upper inlets

  • 1/8" 27 NPT tapped outlet to accommodate period correct petcocks

  • Handcrafted in the USA

PLEASE NOTE: Ford drawings indicate a brass support bar was “added” to the core on June 30, 1910. Please indicate if the bar is needed when ordering.

    Questions and Answers
Which radiator is better, flat or round tube.

The flat tube radiator offers more cooling surface and more cooling performance for the model t. The round is made like the original and we recommend them for show cars.
