This plate does not specify 1926 or 1927?
 Yes you are correct but it isn't supposed to. It is a direct copy of the original. And all it does is shows all the patents that would of been applied to the car when it was made. Which would of had been placed before it was built. They didn't use it to identify year of manufacture.
