Rear Axle Heavy Duty Truss Assembly, complete with all hardware.
Does not require and drilling or modifications to your Model T and does not require changing your rear axle housing. Both ends of the rod are threaded and extend through the clamps which go around the axle housings. The furnished nuts allow you to draw the rod as tight as you desire.
This accessory stabilizes the rear axle. Helps prevent axle and drive shaft vibration, loosening or breaking of the housing, gear stripping and rear axle damage. This is especially important for the earlier, (1909-1914), more fragile rear axles. It aides in protecting your car when driving over rough roads, hitting rocks, etc., or when going up a steep hill, while the gears are under a severe strain and the axle slightly bent down in the center.
Brackets are 1” heavy steel that clamps around the axle housing using bolts
7/16” Truss rod is secured to the differential with two links as shown.
Note: Some fitting is required around axle rivets.
