This distributor eliminate original timers and coils. Can be used with 6 or 12 volt coil.

This Distributor features:
A single stainless steel control rod, for a smooth and firm spark control.
Sealed control rod ends for reduced wear and smooth and firm spark control (instead of 2 rods and a bell crank).
Stainless steel shaft, turning on maintenance-free sealed ball bearings.
Smooth running helical-cut heat-treated gears.
Mounts vertically, as to not interfere with the oil filler cap or the fan adjuster.
Mounts easily and securely to the timing cover, without modification.

Is the distributor automatic or do you still have to use the advance and retard leaver on the steering column?

Why dosen't this distributor have the advance curve kit in it?
	The distributors heads that they use are vary similar to the Volkswagen heads out of the mid 60's. The advance curves for the Volkswagens do not work for the Model T's though because the model T likes to run at a much lower RPM so they either have taken the whole mechanism out or have locked it in place so it doesn't move. But the distributor will still be connected to the manual advance just like the original timing would to get the correct adjustment. Answered By: 23 SEL 57 out of 79 found this answer useful.
