Would this car cover be good for long term storage in a garage?
 Yes it will work just as long as it stays dry. It is a cotton cover and it does not like moisture.

How do you clean this car cover?
 Machine wash gentle cycle with 1/4 cup Simple Green  all purpose cleaner. Dry on low heat. Do not use dryer sheets.
