Is the hood shelf the piece of metal on top of the frame from the firewall to the radiator shell. One on each side that covers the frame?
 FAQ ImageYes. The hood shelves are the piece that sit on the frame and the hood will rest on this when it is down. I attached a picture of an installed hood shelf on my 1923 Touring.
